When I see what a man like Ghandi was able to do, it gives me a
positive and strong way of looking at myself, other people, life
and God for Ghandi was just as human as anyone and yet was
brave enough and strong enough to take on the British Empire
in both South Africa and in India for a cumulative period of 33
years. In so doing he and his country men won back India along
with their human dignity and resources peacefully, without firing
one single shot. So, when we look at our human brother Ghandi
we see the love, peace, joy, goodness, life and strength of God,
all portions of the light of life within illuminating that part of
each of us that is eternal as children of God. Seeing qualities
of this great nature in us is one good reason that the apostle
paul told us in Colossians to keep our eyes on what is eternal.
And when we obey him and do so how can not "be positive" or
in other words "have faith" in God and in each of us right now
and tommorrow and for eternity.
