Conservative Friend

I'm a member of Chico Friends Meeting a liberal, unprogrammed meeting in Chico, California. I'm inspired by the writings of early Friends.  A group of us in Chico meeting is reading Sewel's history of Friends and this is causing several to re-examine our beliefs and level of commitment.  I believe Quakerism at the outset was about following the inward workings of the Spirit, no matter what the consequences, as it caused radical change in those that followed it.  This kind of change is still available to all of us.
